I can’t believe that the Rolling Stones are still touring after 60 years, that just blows my mind.
I guess they can keep going as long as they are alive and fairly healthy, but I hope that when the main members are gone they don’t patch together another band to call the same name and keep touring.
I don’t like when the original band is gone and they still play as the same band with all new members, that is just artistic karaoke to me and I don’t really like it. My local contractor buddy agrees and is hoping that the Stones don’t turn into some cheesy tribute band calling themselves by the same name and doing gigs in local businesses just trying to make money off someone else’s prior success. I guess they can do whatever they want, but it seems like a slap in the face to the original band to have someone else playing the songs you made. Anyway, today is energy saving tips day, as I look online to see how I can save money this summer staying cool in the climate controlled flat here. I have a small unit in my bedroom to save money at night when I am sleeping and I think it is going to be a game changer with the power bills this season. I want to start saving money for my trip back to the States in seven months and will start with the HVAC system. I can also make some more money playing music in my band and I should be set come Christmas season.
