First time homeowner and HVAC upgrade

I don’t think I was quite prepared for all the things that have come at me in the last year.

I went back to working inside the zone controlled HVAC of the office 18 months ago and from there, it’s kind of been on.

I’m actually starting to climb the ladder a bit a work. And I really showed my value when we were all working from home in our own air conditioning during the pandemic. I was able to really focus and do the best work I had done since joining the company out of college. And when we went back to the commercial HVAC of the office, I was rewarded with a big promotion. That promotion came with a much bigger paycheck. Finally I would have enough money to put a down payment on a starter home. Once I finally had enough money to buy a house, I thought that was the end of the journey. I’d simply buy a house and be building equity instead of paying rent. But there was much more to it since the house I purchased needed some renovations. But the price was right so I jumped in with both feet. However, I got a big surprise right away when it came to replacing the heating and cooling equipment. Not only was the heat pump shot but the ductwork wouldn’t be functional either. That really changed the dynamics of my renovations budget. But the awesome HVAC professionals suggested I go with a series of ductless heat pumps instead of the central air conditioning. I did just that and not only saved money but am enjoying the best quality heating and air of my life.
