When the pandemic hit, I began to do my work from my condo.
At the time it was just my spouse Cal, my dog Poopers, and me in the house and both of us had more than enough room for my house and my office work.
However, a few months into quarantine, my spouse became pregnant, so both of us wanted to change the office area into a dentistry, and build a shed in the backyard that would be converted into my modern house nursery. The construction all went according to our plans, and my modern office was becoming more comfortable by the day. My only problem was Cal deciding how to heat and cool the office. Running HVAC duct was going to be fancy and time-consuming, and I didn’t want to sacrifice 1 of my windows to install an ugly, inefficient window mounted unit, so I decided to go with a ductless mini-split. A ductless mini-split has a condenser and a minor evaporator, and can function to heat my office in the Winter, and cool it through the Summer. A ductless mini split can reverse the flow of coolant between the evaporator and condenser, which makes it a more versatile pick for heating and cooling. The upgrade was quite quick and painless, as I only had to drill a multiple-inch hold for all of the necessary components. Now my modern office area is the most comfortable locale for me to work, and since I assume how well I can control the temps, I am not afraid to keep the baby with me while I work. Ask your local Heating and A/C provider if the ductless mini-split is the right option for your Heating and A/C needs this week!
