I absolutely love what I do, as a matter of fact I think I have finally found my passion in life.
It sounds really simple, and maybe it is, but I love repairing and fixing up old heating and cooling units. When I was a kid, I had wanted to be a heating and a/c technician just like my dad. I thought repairing and restoring things was such a cool thing to do and it really gave me a sense of accomplishment when I could take something that was otherwise dead and broken and restore it to like new again, but that wasn’t even the best part. The best part was seeing these restored heating and a/c units go to other people that were able to make good use of them. Even though I had wanted to be a heating and a/c technician my mother didn’t approve of this career choice and put tremendous pressure on me to become a lawyer instead. Unfortunately, she seemed more concerned with my long term success rather than my happiness. So that is the path I took, and while I am happy that I am successful, I feel like I am only now rediscovering and fulfilling my childhood dream. Working on all of these heating and cooling units has made my dad proud, and made me feel a bit more complete. I’m even considering going back to school to get my HVAC certification and finally achieving my dreams, but for now I will continue to work on ductless mini split air conditioners and space heaters on the side.
